The People’s Organization Management Training Workshop was conducted in San Juan, Siquijor, on January 16 and 17, 2023. The training workshop aimed to capacitate six People’s Organizations from the six learning sites, who were also the participants. The essential etiquettes and formats in presiding meetings, while basic accounting strengthens the fundamental financial accounting and record keeping required in the participating People’s Organization. Municipal Fisheries Technicians also came to help their respective POs and assess LGU support requirements. The exercise drew a total of 26 participants from the two municipal clusters.
The activity was well welcomed and timely appreciated, as PO operations are ramping up and the links between POs, LGUs, NGOs, and NGAs are becoming clear. In open plenary talks, productive exchanges of organizational best practices in presiding meetings and bookkeeping were regular subjects. CCEF was also able to obtain information about regular meeting schedules where we would be most welcome. We’ve also given them our phone numbers in case they need anything.
