On May 28, 2024, at the Big Hotel in Cebu, Philippines, with the support of the Unico Conservation Foundation, the Coastal Conservation and Education Foundation (CCEF) hosted the Lend a Blue Hand: Recognizing, Strengthening, and Expanding Partnerships, by bringing together esteemed partners from Non-Government Organizations, Academe, Corporate Sectors, and National Government Agencies.
The event additionally recognized the awarded beneficiaries from People’s Organizations overseeing their respective Marine Protected Areas (MPAs), namely Bugas MPA in Badian, Cebu, Sinandigan MPA in Ubay, Bohol, and Hingotanan West MPA in Bien Unido, Bohol, all made possible through the generous funding and support of Booth & Partners
This event also marked a significant stride in our ongoing efforts to secure marine protected areas, empower local fish wardens, ensure proper waste management, educate children on marine conservation, and nurture youth coastal warriors.
By focusing on these critical interventions, CCEF believes we can create sustainable solutions to the threats facing our oceans. We continue to invite everyone to join us in this vital mission, whether through monetary or in-kind donations or volunteer efforts. Together, we can ensure the preservation of our precious coastal ecosystems for generations to come.
