On May 22, 2024, the Bohol Danajon Bank Double Barrier Reef Management Council (BDBDBRMC) gathered for its quarterly meeting at ABC Hall in Ubay, Bohol. The meeting was attended by council member mayors including Hon. Dave Duallo of Buenavista, Hon. Fernando Estavilla of Pitogo, and Hon. Eugeniano Ibarra of Clarin. Hon. Renante B. Cempron, representing Mayor Jono Jumamoy of Inabanga (SB Committee on Agriculture and Environment), was also present. Atty. Ernest O. Golosino attended on behalf of Hon. Constantino Reyes of Ubay. Mr. Jonas Luega, the Municipal Agriculture Officer (MAO) of Getafe, represented Hon. Cary M. Camacho, and Mr. Cielito Evangelista, the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officer (MENRO) of LGU Talibon, represented Hon. Janette A. Garcia.
Also representing Governor Erico Aristotle C. Aumentado was his executive assistant, Mr. Romy Teruel. Representatives from various key organizations attended, including the Bohol Provincial Environment Management Office (BPEMO), DENR 7 Central Visayas, DENR Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) Talibon, and faculty from Bohol Island State University Candijay and Clarin campuses. Several municipal agriculturists and environmental officers from local government units were also in attendance.
Highlights of the meeting included the presentation and approval of the final council logo, project updates on the Protect Danajon Project, and the presentation of the Danajon Audio Visual Presentation and Communication, Education, and Public Awareness (CEPA) Board design.
