Located southwest of Cebu, Badian Bay is one of the longest straits located in the Tanon Strait Protected Seascape. Badian boasts of rich natural resources which is obvious from the tourist spots it boasts including white sand beaches, springs, waterfalls and mangrove areas.
Last July, CCEF in partnership with Eskapo Verde, an eco-friendly resort in Badian held an initial meeting to address illegal fishing issues within Badian Bay. During the ocular, CCEF members conducted a series of interviews with officials, residents and other stakeholders regarding their perception of the state of the Badian Bay fisheries.
