November 16, 2019— A total of 30 volunteers from the NKC Mfg. -Philippines joined CCEF in a mangrove planting activity at Cotcot, Liloan Cebu.
The activity started with an opening speech by Mr. Taiji Nishiinkyo, NKC Mfg. Philippines President. This was followed by a short orientation on the proper planting of mangroves in the area by the CCEF mangrove specialist, Mr. Jonathan Apurado.
With only 30 volunteers and 10 CCEF staff, A total of 650 mangroves were planted during that day. These mangroves will grow to become the future protector of the coasts in Cotcot Liloan.
